Smart Pandian

This blog is my personal experience which is going to be based on the moral of this blog “Are we Thinking out of the Box”.

In many ways, People are like the buzzard, the bat and the bumblebee. We struggle about with all our problems and frustrations, never realizing that all we have to do is look up.

It’s all about Lakshmi Theatre. The One of the famous cinema theatre in Madivala (bangalore) that is near to my home. This theatre is special for me, as, it reminds me the above moral.

A year back, I got a transfer from Trivandrum to Bangalore. Being a movie (theatre) freak and new to the city, I want to fullfill my appetite in both. I want to watch new movies releasing in city and also roam around the city. The solution or strategy I have followed is that, if a new movie was released in the city, I would watch the movie in a theatre for which i havent been before.

For everything, there is a starting point. Starting point for this exploration was began with the search of theatre “Aruna” for the movie “Pattiyal”. I dont want to go into the movie details, however, it is a good movie, almost pithamagan remade.

After almost one month, I was still living there in Madivala(Bangalore). I have watched a movie in Forum. I felt that I was getting narrowed down. The initial aspiration was not there anymore, anyway, I wouldnot let my ignition switch off. It was at those time, I came to know about Lakshmi Theatre in Tavarakere near Madivala. I dont remember what was my first movie in Lakshmi Theatre.

We took the Auto and we memorised the route all the way to the theatre. After Reaching there, We estimated the distance from home and as per our calculations, the movie theatre was not so far, jus 20 min walk. Thanks to the Auto for showing the way. After watching the movie, we were back home by the same route on walk.

Almost three months have gone. By this time, we have watched the some three to four movies Don , Superman Returns, Dhoom etc in the same theatre. All the time, we have taken the same route.

But that is not all. One fine day, when I was returning from Taverekere, I find a narrow street going straight just before the usual route. I have decided to try that street. voila. You wont believe me. It takes me directly to the back of my house. Its just five minutes walk..
This is one such small event that happened to me. But after that I came across lots of similar incidents however, this is significant compared to others as the impact of this incident was quite long i.e, three months.

I was thinking about this topic for almost thirty minutes. The actual topic is , “enna ezhuthuvathu?” in Tamil. I couldnt make the exact english translation for this silly topic. My closest matches were “what can I write” or “what I have to write” or “what needs to be written” or “What do I Write?”. I would be happy If you can help me solve this riddle.

This topic used to appear in my mind. But I left it open, so that some day, I would write about it. But this idea was blown, when I read “Arunachalathin Aluval” by Kalki Krishnamurthy. Only after reading the story, I realised the absurdity of this topic, though it was one of the most famous topic for years.

Interestingly, I went thru web statistics of my site for the last month to find that just two visitors had visited my blog. My Special Thanks to them. I hope this rate have to go in the upward trend in future. I am quiet puzzled with spam comments, I have got more than 1000 comments, but it is not appearing in web statistics.

Anyway, the very purpose why I dropped the blog is to say that I have updated the version ofwordpress theme, i3Theme from 1.2 to 1.4, unlike the earlier updates, this time I have got two reasons to update

1. i3theme 1.2 fails to load on ie7 while 1.4 supports it.
2. i3theme 1.2 doesnt show tags applied for a post while 1.4 show tags at the bottom of the post(see below).

Om Shanti Om is a love story of Om(sharukh) who takes revenge for his death(his lovers death) in his next reincarnation. Though the story of this kind is well known, the difference comes in the plot which was set on bollywood cine industry over the year 1977 and 2007 .

It was year 1977, Om, a Junior Artiste who acts in dummy roles in various movies, lives with the aspiration of becoming a superstar, falls in love with Shantipriya, a Super Heroin in bollywood. But shanti priya is in love with Mukesh Mehra. Because of their love, Shanti priya gets pregnant. But Mukesh who was in love with money more than shantipriya, plays foul & kill her. Om fails in his attempt to save shantipriya, finally dies in the hospital. At the same time of death, a baby borns in the hospital, its none other than om, and then all the story is how he takes revenge for his death in his reincarnation during his 30 i.e in the 2007.

Farah Khan joins with Shahrukh khan after “Main Hoon Na”. This movie is no way lesser to Main Hoon Na, has got lots of fun, action, music, thrill and more over a fashion show of almost all bollywood celebrities you can think of, from amitaab, abhishek, hrithik, saif ali khan sanjay dutt etc to kajol, shilpa, urmila, etc.

Final verdict, just another masala mix.
