WordPress 2.8.3
Its been long silent in my blog, anyways, that’s quite a common phenomena. So Never Mind.
As usual, I find an update available (wordpress 2.8.3) for my blog software and there were 7 plugins for which newer version is available. So effectively, I have to make 8 upgrades to keep my blog software in trend, and also intact and devoid of security threat, sql injection, bloats etc
8 Upgrades, That’s a humongous task if it were in older versions of wordpress. In wordpress 2.8 series, its just one click/update. I made a total of 8 clicks. Now, I am all set to blog with wordpress2.8.3 . CU
4th Year B.Tech.
As a Blogger of Technology (B.Tech), 4th year has began for me. And, this is not a a 4 year course that is going to end sooner. It will continue to grow, as long as my aspiration to write about technology (or other mokkai) dies out.
@ this 3rd anniversary, its great to read thru my past blogs, esp..the scrap ones, I could not figure out or bring out any judgement from it. If that is the case with me, my readers.. I really have to thank you.. Anyways, just have fun in reading though.

To say it, in a line, Year 2008, is one of the promising year in various fields all across the world (and also for moon). With 2008 coming to end, its time to revisit, prioritise and focus on desired goal. With that in Context, lets peak into the performance of smartpandian.com over the year 2008 and fine tune the blog to improve the reach of this blog towards the larger audience. And Hence, lets take a quick look at the summary of this blog.
Smartpandian.com currently features 70 posts, with 23 posts (including this) being published during this year 2008, there by, this site is grown at the rate of 2 blogs per month.
If we look closer at the blog statistics for this year, we could see that this site has shown a significant growth over the first month, i.e., January with 9 blogs,which is a high pitched start and then, reduced and has seen dots in the following months and finally, ends in december with the second highest number of 4 blogs.
Other than Statistics, the key factor that attracts the audience, is the blog content. As I walk through the 23 blogs of this year, I could count for five to six instances where, the content is merely about this blog or purely this blog centric which could impact the repeat audience. Keeping this in mind, I have formulated two key points for the year 2009.
- Target for 3 blogs per month,i.e., to maintain slow and steady run
- Improve the blog content and thereby, reduce the no. of blogs on blog updates (one per 25 blogs)
In addition to these two key points, to improve the audience base and their participation, following features has been enabled on this blog starting from today.
- User Registration, Open for Normal Users. (Register)
- Guests(Visitors) can rate my posts. (Please rate this post. It just takes a second)
As a first step to reduce the no. of blogs on blog updates, there would be a new page expected to be launched by end of February, where the complete list of features of the blog, will be published.
Lets, Welcome the Year 2009 with Hope, Courage and Whatsoever you want.
And, Lets have a blast on this new year.

Dei Pandiya, I dont understand the point, you are updating your wordpress regularly, and now, you have updated to version 2.7 for heaven sake. I just wanted to ask, why in earth, you are updating, as you not writing any blog, its better to leave the wordpress as it is.
Adey Arumuga, You may say that you have little access to internet and now, you got your internet connection in Trivandrum also. So, why not blog something, that would add a celebration to the unlimited Internet festival. But Please don’t bore me by saying your thanks to bsnl broadband.
You can blog about the great trip to Andaman, with your friends Chandragiri, Ranjith and Vivek. You can explain the breath taking adventure in the Bay of Bengal and the famous escape from the leaches. You have lots to blog, buddy.
Just think, about the readers of your blog, they were interest in action and adventures. Whether the economy goes up or down, Action adventures drives one forward, brings out the confidence and it spread across the society. More over, this would improve TRP rating of your blog.
Finally, I dont mind, whether you are listening to me or not. But, just remember, all that I am saying, is for the welfare of your blog. (my inner self starts crying)
